So, Who is Corrie Ten Boom?

“Cornelia “Corrie” ten Boom was a Dutch Christian watchmaker who helped many Jews escape from the Nazis during the Holocaust in World War II. Using her job as a watchmaker in her father’s shop (as a cover), Corrie built contacts with resistance workers, who assisted her in procuring ration books and building a hiding place in the family home.” – United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

  1. I really do love this because it reminds me that I don’t need to be nervous or anxious about the future. I always seem to be worrying about something so this quote gives me a sense of reassurance and peace that everything will work out. It also reminds me of a saying that my mom always told me – worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but doesn’t get you anywhere. I just have to remember that God has my future in his hands and everything will work out the way they are supposed to.

  2. Corrie Ten Boom is no doubt a woman who lived out her faith and was willing to risk her life for those who would otherwise perish. In my eyes, she clearly was doing the Lord’s work. The above quote really shakes me to my core. I am a big worrier and planner. It is extremely difficult for me to let God take hold of all my unknowns. Boom’s words give me hope though. I don’t know what tomorrow brings, but I know the One who does.

  3. Yes! Love this quote and what a faith she had!
