So, what does Ecclesiastes 3:1 mean?
So many verses come back to the foundational truth that God knows best and wants us to trust Him in all things and at all times. This verse is a prime example of that and is actually a poem that describes the seasons and phases of life.
Fun-fact: There are five books in the Bible that are simply poetry; Ecclesiastes is one of them!
- Job
- Psalms
- Proverbs
- Ecclesiastes
- Song of Solomon
Question: Is it hard or easy for you to trust God at all times?

The older I get the easier it is for me to trust God. I definitely can’t say it is easy all the time but I have gone from being very anxious about the future to having an overwhelming sense of peace about God’s plan for my life.
I would second this!! I have definitely started to find it easier to trust God too. Every time I start to get anxious about something I remind myself that God has things under control and to bring my burdens to Him.
I also would have to agree with you on this, Courtney! As I have grown up, I feel as though my trust in God has become stronger and much more natural. Rather than getting overwhelmed, I find myself turning to Him first and looking for His hand in even the worst situations.
I agree with you all. Trusting Him has gotten easier as I’ve gotten older and I’m all in. My trust has lead to peace and contentment.
